Harrow
London

This Greater London project proposed a new building containing two private apartments, parking and garden to a vacant plot in suburban Harrow. The site had remained vacant because a diverted water course or culvert runs across it. NNA designed a proposal what would span the culvert, providing the required 3m accessible zone to all sides for any future maintenance.

The form is a modern adaptation of the surrounding post-war, two storey, semi-detached dwellings. It has been designed to visually reference the key details of the surrounding buildings, for example by matching the heights of the entrance porch and eaves, and reflecting the existing by including a feature bay window.
