Care Home
Oxfordshire
Creation of a new 46-bed care home extension as a separate building within the grounds of the existing Freeland House care home.
The modern design features a central atrium with exposed glulam beams. Feature roof terrace overlooking the rural surroundings will create an outstanding environment to be enjoyed by the residents.
The full storey level change between the existing building and the new care facility has been achieved with the inclusion of a significant retaining structure. This approach has ensured the building nestles into the site and sits comfortably within the setting of the primary building.
Nicholson Nairn were commissioned to take on the 46 bed extension through detailed design, procurement and completion on site.
