NNA were appointed to design a contemporary single-storey rear extension and side annex to a Victorian home in Burley-in-Wharfedale. The design reinterprets elements of the original dwelling in a modern way, featuring roof lanterns that bring daylight deep into the plan, Crittall-style windows framing garden views, and internal glass screens to enhance light distribution. A feature chimney anchors the design, serving both the snug internally and the patio externally. Pocket doors provide flexibility, allowing the boot room to be closed off while maintaining a seamless connection between the annex and family space.
